Job Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is expanding rapidly and seeking Logistics Specialist Interns to join our Data Centre team in Cape Town, South Africa. This internship is a full-time, 6-month program beginning in March 2026, focused on supporting procurement and supply chain operations within our dynamic logistics environment.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to prioritize tasks and respond quickly. This opportunity offers exposure to operating the world’s largest cloud computing infrastructure and engaging with a committed team delivering world-class customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor inventory levels to maintain proper stock quantities
  • Receive, check, and manage parts inventory
  • Load, unload, and transport shipments between various locations
  • Maintain accurate records of all commodities entering and leaving the company
  • Assist in daily scheduling of deliveries and pickups
  • Perform manual handling duties including lifting loads up to 49 pounds safely
  • Operate safely on site, including climbing stairs and moving equipment as required

Program Details and Scheduling

  • Full-time internship: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Onsite work required daily at Cape Town Data Centre locations
  • Potential full-time roles may include varied shifts and on-call rotations

Requirements

Qualifications & Eligibility

  • Completed higher education qualification (NQF level 4-6) from an accredited institution, preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related fields
  • Applicants must be under 35 years old at application time
  • Applicants must be unemployed prior to joining the internship
  • Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer service experience and ability to manage priorities through ticketing systems
