Our Sales Development Associate internship is a 6-month, full-time paid program designed to cultivate real relationships and provide hands-on sales experience with purpose.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with prospective candidates across key industries to share Impel Talent’s mission and services.
  • Conduct outreach via phone, email, and LinkedIn to initiate authentic conversations.
  • Promote leadership development programs and the Impel Connect platform (www.impeltalent.com/connect) to assist professionals in advancing their careers.
  • Qualify leads by understanding candidates’ goals and challenges to connect them with appropriate opportunities.
  • Collaborate with senior recruiters and account managers on client engagements and recruitment processes.
  • Assist with market mapping, database management, advert writing, search design, and lead generation.
  • Be the initial point of contact for candidates, offering empathetic guidance throughout their journey.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and follow up to ensure smooth candidate and client experiences.
  • Support community engagement by sharing updates and success stories via Impel Connect and social channels.

Candidate Requirements

  • 0–2 years of experience in sales, recruitment, HR, or related fields.
  • Strong communication skills with a passion for genuine connection.
  • Curiosity and ability to ask insightful questions to understand people’s stories.
  • Empathy and a people-first approach to support candidates and clients.
  • Organized, reliable, and effective time management.
  • Comfortable with LinkedIn, CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot), and AI assistants such as ChatGPT or Copilot.
  • Creative thinker excited to explore new ways to engage and share ideas.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
