Job Description

Biovac is one of Africa’s leading sterile vaccine manufacturers, with a core purpose to “protect life”. We are seeking a dynamic, passionate, confident, proactive, and meticulous Corporate Brand Intern to join our goal-oriented team.

Purpose of the Role

  • Assist the line manager and team members in supporting operational practices.
  • Provide stakeholders with ongoing feedback until successful completion of tasks or projects.
  • Support and partner with team members to ensure teamwork and achievement of deliverables.
  • Adhere to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) within Biovac.

Qualifications Needed

  • Degree or Diploma in a relevant field of study.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

PR Planning and Calendar Assistance

  • Support the Corporate Brand (CB) team with branding strategy implementation.
  • Ensure monthly calendars are approved by the 15th and content by the 25th for the following month’s publications.
  • Guarantee all posts and publications receive approval at least 5 working days before the scheduled go-live date.

Social Media Presence

  • Coordinate content and approvals with Human Studio and the team, ensuring all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met.
  • Track Biovac social media accounts and monitor comments daily; provide weekly summary reports.
  • Alert CB immediately on concerning comments or questions.
  • Monitor competitor activity and share relevant news proactively.

Internal Communications

  • Participate in event logistics as part of the events team.
  • Assist in developing events from creative proposals to execution.
  • Manage logistics related to creative briefs.
  • Support the CB team in managing and dispatching BioMERCH orders when needed.

Administration & Reporting

  • Compile monthly marketing metrics, including social media performance and community engagement, with suggested improvements.
  • Coordinate meeting minutes and follow up on required actions.
  • Organize documentation and graphics in the marketing and communications SharePoint folder for easy access.
  • Manage stock images, releases, posters, booklets, and other collateral for accessibility.
  • Assist in processing service provider payments and ensure compliance with Biovac’s house manual.
  • Compile presentations and documents; assist with scheduling and attending meetings.
  • Develop templates and content approval flow charts.
  • Source news and updates for dissemination across the organisation.
  • Monitor internet and intranet sites monthly to ensure accuracy and relevance of content.

External Events

  • Assist with logistics for site visits, such as sales team Ndoh site visits.
