The Role: Datasets Intern
The Datasets team is essential to all Black Swan products, responsible for the creation and maintenance of key datasets. The Datasets Intern role combines analysis, market research, and communication. Interns will work to understand, refine, and evaluate existing and new datasets in a consultative manner, anticipating client needs and collaborating closely with client-facing teams.
This internship is part of Black Swan Data’s Accelerator Programme, designed to develop top talent with a blend of behavioral and technical skills through a 3-year career path within the Datasets team.
Key Learning Opportunities
- Collaborate with data analysts on large datasets to uncover valuable insights
- Engage with internal stakeholders to translate complex data needs into actionable dataset parameters
- Gain hands-on experience working with client-facing teams to enhance communication skills
- Analyze and optimize datasets while ensuring data quality through regular validation checks
- Master Black Swan’s proprietary software, Trendscope
- Develop industry domain knowledge and connect data trends to wider market dynamics

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Market Research, Information Management, Economics, Statistics, or related field
- Interest in data analysis and desire to develop expertise
- Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams
- Proficiency with Excel or equivalent data manipulation tools
Bonus Points
- Previous coursework or experience in data analysis or statistics
- Exposure to SQL, databases, or programming languages like Python or R
