Komatsu is inviting students to apply for their bursary programme for the 2026 academic year.

Bursaries will be awarded for studies within the following STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) fields (including but NOT limited to the following fields):

  • Accounting (CA and non-CA)
  • Actuarial Science
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Computer Engineering
  • Computer Science
  • Economics
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Financial Management
  • Geology
  • Human Resource Management
  • Industrial Engineering
  • Information Systems
  • Information Technology
  • Investment Management
  • Law (LLB)
  • Logistics Management
  • Mathematical Statistics
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Metallurgical Engineering
  • Mineral Surveying
  • Mining Engineering
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Transport Management

Eligibility Requirements:

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying:

  • You must be a South African citizen
  • You must be studying towards a qualification within one of the STEM fields listed above, or another STEM field not listed above
  • You must be in your 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of study
  • You must be studying at an accredited public Higher Education Training (HET) institution in South Africa

Required Documents:

Submit clear copies of the following supporting documents along with your application:

  • ID document (certified copy)
  • Proof of tertiary registration (on institute’s letterhead)
  • Full academic record (on institute’s letterhead)
  • Proof of residence
