Rentokil Initial is offering a unique learnership opportunity for individuals looking to gain valuable work experience while completing a Business Administration NQF 3 qualification. Successful candidates will be employed on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This learnership is registered with the Services Seta and features a blended learning approach, including 2 days of remote facilitation each month via Google Meets. Participants will engage in self-study while working within our organization to fulfill the requirements for their qualification.

The position supports our Washrooms, Pest, and Ambius businesses, reporting directly to the Finance Business Partner.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting:
  • Deliver accurate and timely management information.
  • Daily and weekly reporting of operational and sales information.
  • Monthly reporting of key accounting, sales, and operational performance.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews with operational management.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis and reporting as requested by senior management.
  • Provide commentary and investigate changes in management information.
  • Respond to queries with data accuracy and follow up on data sources.
  • Adapt management information to meet business needs.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and planning for the Finance Director.
  • Assist Management Accountants to ensure accuracy of accounting information.
  • Support the Finance Team in delivering key business initiatives.
  • Assist in commission calculations.
• Analysis:
  • Maintain good relations with the operations director, Sales Director, and branch managers.
  • Support understanding of key financial processes and measures.
  • Challenge and develop understanding of commercial performance measures.
  • Provide assistance with reporting and data needs.
  • Understand challenges and performance issues specific to individual areas.
  • Explain Budget targets to branch managers and collate feedback for Finance.
• Price and Margin Analysis:
  • Help the business understand pricing and margins.
  • Accurate reporting of Margin Analysis for month-end reporting.
  • Assist in management presentations regarding month-end performance.
  • Conduct discount analysis and margin reporting for commission schemes.
  • Maintain business models for profitability.
  • Keep the Price List updated for all businesses.
