The South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC) Genomics Platform is excited to announce the Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) Intern Programme. Launched in 2023 in collaboration with DIPLOMICS, this internship aims to provide essential technical training and capacity development in good laboratory practice (GLP), NGS, and workflow automation.
As an intern, you will become an integral part of the SAMRC Genomics Platform laboratory team, engaging in significant projects that will enhance your skills and boost your employability. Key responsibilities include:
- Sample quality control
- Nucleic acid isolation
- Sequencing library preparation
- Administrative tasks related to the core functions of the facility
