Customer Service Internship Opportunities 2026-2027

Job Description

Oxford University Press Southern Africa is offering a Customer Service Internship for a duration of 12 months. This internship is tailored for students in their final year of study (2025) or recent graduates seeking practical work experience. The successful candidate will commence the internship on 02 February 2026 and conclude on 31 January 2027. This position is based in Goodwood, Cape Town.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide efficient and timely responses to inbound calls and process orders to meet customer needs.
  • Answer calls in accordance with set standards to resolve customer queries.
  • Handle customer calls courteously, efficiently, and promptly.
  • Receive product training to effectively promote products to customers.
  • Follow up with internal teams regarding customer queries.
  • Communicate the progress of queries to customers.
  • Provide requested documentation to customers, including backorder reports, proof of deliveries, and price lists.
  • Gain exposure to and develop an understanding of the educational publishing industry, customer service environment, OUPSA products, supply chain, warehouse and distribution processes, database maintenance, data capturing, and SAP, MS Office.
