Job Description

The Stryker Clinical Support Intern is responsible for directly supporting all Stryker products associated with Joint Replacement procedures. This role focuses on servicing and supporting our clinical customers to strive for best-in-class specialist support with procedural excellence. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with the local sales team to coordinate training and events while managing day-to-day business support requirements, ensuring Stryker delivers exceptional levels of service to our broad range of customers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Servicing existing and new customer bases within the theatre and clinical environment.
  • Providing theatre and wider healthcare professional (HCP) staff with in-depth training on Stryker products.
  • Working closely with other team members within the defined region and the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to ensure best-in-class customer service levels.
  • Auditing theatre Stryker stock (implants, disposables, and instruments), managing consignment inventory, and ensuring good asset management practices.
  • Understanding the clinical application of the broader Stryker business to offer customers the best possible solutions at all times.
  • Conducting trials and evaluations of products in both theatre and clinical environments as required.
  • Additional responsibilities as directed by the RSM.
  • Implementing training, providing instruments, and introducing new Stryker business.
  • Planning, executing, and monitoring all measures necessary to achieve industry-leading support.
  • Providing customer care for physicians, surgical theatre staff, and hospital administration and sterilization departments.
  • Demonstrating excellent product knowledge and professionalism during workshops.
  • Organizing and conducting training workshops and events for a broad customer group.
  • Reporting to the RSM to ensure customer service levels are best in class.
  • Communicating essential features and benefits of products and their clinical applications.
  • Maintaining outstanding ethics at all times, treating customers and employees with respect.
  • Behaving with integrity and delivering on commitments within required timescales.
  • Understanding the clinical application of the broader Stryker portfolio to offer customers insights into our wider product range.
  • Making observations of customer needs and liaising with sales colleagues to introduce new or additional Stryker products and/or support.
  • Maintaining a basic business plan highlighting daily, weekly, and monthly objectives.
  • Developing an understanding of the local healthcare environment and regional strategy.
