### Youth Development Internship at Gijima Holdings Pty Ltd

Gijima Holdings Pty Ltd is seeking motivated individuals for its Youth Development program. This internship opportunity is designed for candidates who are eager to gain practical experience in the field of Occupational Health and Safety.

**Eligibility Criteria:**
– Candidates must have completed a 3-year tertiary qualification in Business Administration, Occupational Health and Safety, or Environmental Health.
– A valid driver’s license is required.
– Candidates must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, email, and internet usage.
– No criminal record is allowed.
– Candidates must currently be unemployed.
– Candidates must not be participating in another learnership or internship program.
– Candidates must not be enrolled with any other tertiary institution.
– Candidates must reside in JHB Vanderbijlpark (relocation is NOT an option).
– Candidates must be under the age of 35 as of 31 August 2025.
– Candidates must be South African citizens – African, Coloured, or Indian.

### Competencies/Skills Required:
– A relevant tertiary qualification (3 years).
– Ability to prioritize and multitask daily duties, including organizing and scheduling meetings, and taking minutes.
– Experience in organizing SHE files for clients using provided checklists.
– A minimum of 4 years of experience in building and organizing Safety Files from scratch.
– Experience in distributing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to branches and Field Service Engineers (FSE) working with clients.
– National Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety Environment.

### Responsibilities:
– Provide professional Health and Safety services to the division of the company as well as act as Administrator for SHEQ.
– Inform your supervisor immediately if your activities deviate significantly from the job description.
– Ensure that subordinates are aware of hazards and risks, and are trained to conduct their work safely by following safe operating procedures.
– Perform administrative duties such as typing memos, taking meeting minutes, faxing, photocopying, and distributing documents to appropriate individuals.
– Arrange SHEQ training as necessary and research safety topics or training opportunities as directed by the SHEQ Manager.
– Participate in incident investigation reviews and data collection.
– Assist with site inspections, hazard assessments, meetings, and incident investigations.
