### Job Description
Gijima Holdings Pty Ltd is offering an exciting opportunity for unemployed youth to join our Youth Development Program. This program is designed for individuals who are passionate about IT and eager to gain hands-on experience in the field.
### Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this program, candidates must meet the following criteria:
– Completed a 3-year tertiary qualification in IT (e.g., Diploma in IT Networks, Support Services, Computer Systems BSc. in IT).
– Possess a valid driver’s license.
– Be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, email, and internet usage.
– Have no criminal record.
– Currently unemployed.
– Not participating in another learnership or internship program.
– Not enrolled with any other tertiary institution.
– Reside in Johannesburg, preferably Vanderbijlpark (relocation is NOT an option).
– Be under the age of 35 as of 31 August 2025.
– Be a South African Citizen (African, Coloured, or Indian).
### Competencies/Skills Required
Candidates should possess the following qualifications and skills:
– IT Diploma.
– CompTIA A+ certification.
– CompTIA N+ certification.
– Relevant OEM certification (HP, Dell, Lenovo).
– ITIL v3 Foundations Certificate (advantageous).
– Cisco Essentials certification.
– MCSE certification (advantageous).
### Responsibilities
As part of the Youth Development Program, you will be responsible for:
– Providing end-user support and resolving logged incidents as per client contracts.
– Delivering exceptional customer service through effective communication and a positive attitude.
– Ensuring quality incident resolution on the first contact within SLA.
– Complying with pending rules and ensuring adherence to procedures.
– Accurately capturing data on Resolve IT incidents/tasks according to ITIL standards.
– Identifying potential risks and reporting them to the Team Lead for preventative maintenance.
– Deploying, monitoring, repairing, supporting, and managing desktop and notebook hardware.
– Managing Windows Operating Systems and Office Automation Software, including printers, scanners, and faxes.
– Setting up desktop computers and peripherals, testing network connections, and installing software for various applications and programs.
– Asking targeted questions to diagnose problems effectively.
