Siyanda Bakgatla Platinum Mine: Learnerships 2025 / 2026
Purpose: The Siyanda Bakgatla Platinum Mine Learnerships aim to provide learners with essential exposure to institutional learning and workplace experience, enabling them to obtain an Artisan qualification at levels 3-4 as registered on the NQF. This program is designed to meet the needs and requirements of the mine while ensuring successful on- and off-the-job training for all participants.
About the Programme
- Apprentices must adhere to all legislative requirements specified in the learning agreement.
- The apprenticeship program trains and develops workers to meet industry standards for specific trade occupations.
- Demonstrate ability and competence as per apprenticeship requirements within the scheduled duration of 3 years.
- Programs combine progressively challenging tasks learned and practiced on-the-job and through classroom training.
- Apprentices are responsible for understanding their trade, learning, applying their skills, and serving the employer’s productivity needs to the best of their ability.
- Apprentices must take control of their training, asking questions and seeking answers.

Requirements:
Grade 12 with Maths and Natural Science
or
N2 (4 Subjects – Trade specific)
