Old Mutual: Imfundo Trust Bursary / Scholarship 2026

The Imfundo Trust is an initiative by the Old Mutual Investment Group designed to provide scholarships and bursaries for students interested in the investments industry, thereby promoting its transformation.

The Imfundo Trust Scholarships offer financial support for full-time undergraduate and selected postgraduate degree programs at designated universities in South Africa.

Degrees Funded

  • Business, Commerce, Finance, and Management Sciences / Studies (first and second year in 2026)
  • Computer Science and related qualifications (first and second year in 2026)
  • Data Science (first and second year in 2026)
  • Climate Studies (postgraduate)
  • Engineering (first and second year in 2026)

 

Selection Criteria

  • Only applications from South African citizens will be considered.
  • Applicants entering their first year in 2026 must have achieved an average of at least 70% in the mid-year Grade 12 examinations, with a minimum of 70% in Mathematics and 70% in English FAL or 60% in English HL.
  • Scholarships are available only to applicants who will be in their first or second year in 2026, with the exception of Climate Studies.
  • Applicants currently in their first year must have achieved an average of 65% and above in their latest examinations (mid-year / June).
  • Preference will be given to applicants from rural and township backgrounds.
